Standing With Families in Colombia
A devastating earthquake recently struck western Colombia, deeply impacting an area that holds a special place in our hearts. Many graduates of MANNA's Training & Discipleship School come from this very region, and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
A powerful quake in a region already carrying hardship.
On the morning of August 10, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, centered near the community of San José del Palmar in Chocó, a remote area long shaped by poverty and years of hardship. The shaking reached into Colombia's coffee growing heartland and cities like Pereira, Cali, Manizales, Quibdó, and Armenia. In the days since, the confirmed loss of life has continued to rise, tens of thousands of families have been displaced, and rescue crews are still working to reach some of the hardest hit and most remote communities.

Safety Update
We are profoundly grateful to share that, as of right now, we have not heard of any casualties among the families of our students.
Extensive Damage
While lives have been spared, the physical damage across the region is severe. Some families have been displaced from their homes.
Immediate Needs
Many families, even those not displaced, urgently need basic necessities.
Relief, delivered directly by people who already know these families.
Our Training & Discipleship School is actively coordinating a relief team to deliver emergency aid directly to affected families. Staff and local church partners are preparing supplies now, with plans to bring hands on support to the area next week.
