Rescue looks different in every village we serve.

Most of the children here were removed from their homes by the government after abuse or abandonment. The youngest is two. The oldest is twenty two. Local staff provide the round-the-clock care Guatemalan law requires, including doctors, counselors and psychiatric support, and new rooms are being added right now to welcome even more kids.

A local couple, Aden and his wife, have opened their home to six teenage boys who've lost family or been removed from abuse. Alongside a small coffee plantation on the property, the boys are learning a trade as they heal and grow toward the future ahead of them.

San Lucas sees a lot of families squatting on land they don't own, and a lot of poverty that comes with it. Pastor PJ and Morgan Hernandez have led here for nine years, feeding a hundred kids Monday through Friday and using the center as an open door into the local church.

El Arado is home to one of the poorest and hardest to reach Mayan communities MANNA partners with. Eighty five kids eat here Monday through Friday, and the center has become a steady, trusted presence in a village where trust doesn't come easily.

The quetzal is both a bird and Guatemala's national currency, a fitting namesake for a village where MANNA has fed kids for over a decade. Kolb, a single missionary who has served here seventeen years, leads the work with quiet, steady faithfulness.

National pastors lead this center, one of MANNA's longest-running in Guatemala, feeding sixty kids and giving this community a place to belong.

Right on the coast, this fishing community lives in homes built from grass, and the nutrition center itself has a grass-built room. Pastor Dagoberto leads with a warmth that fits this close-knit village.

Dirt roads run through La Gomera, well outside the city, where many families are still rebuilding after hurricanes tore through their homes. Pastor Dagoberto leads here too, feeding seventy five kids and helping this community find its footing again.

Zone 3 is one of the most overlooked corners of Guatemala City, a squatter community where few outside organizations are willing to go. Pastor Hector shows up anyway, feeding sixty to eighty kids a day and giving them a steady, safe place in the middle of a hard neighborhood.

Once a month, forty to fifty expecting mothers gather here for free checkups, prenatal vitamins and a set of clothes for their baby on the way, along with a Bible study and crafts together. MJD leads the clinic alongside a Mayan doctor who speaks both Spanish and the local Mayan language, a rare and valuable bridge in this community.

Thirty years of showing up has built deep roots in this village. Two days a week, a doctor, nurses and a visiting pastor treat thirty to forty patients a day. MANNA is proud to help support this clinic, run by our partner Dare For More Ministries.

This bakery does double duty. It teaches a trade, and the proceeds help fund San Lucas' backpack program for kids. Kristin Perez leads the day-to-day, with Pastor PJ stepping in as the ministry grows.

Open to anyone eighteen and up, six to seven students at a time learn auto body repair and welding, with the gospel woven through every class. Many men in El Arado spend long days working the fields. This school gives them a new place to invest their time and skills, one that can support their families for years to come.

Funded by the San Lucas bakery, this program makes sure kids show up to school with what they need, backpacks, supplies and all. Kristin Perez leads the effort.

Started on their own initiative, Kerri Robberts and Jaycee Edwards lead English Club once a week at three different sites, helping kids build language skills that open doors to better jobs down the road.

Sitting on the same property as the Guatemala City orphanage, this sixteen-bedroom, nineteen-bath guest house sleeps up to fifty people, everything a mission team needs to stay close to the work and the kids they've come to serve.
