25 Years of Rescue

What It Means to Be a Christian Nonprofit Helping Children in Poverty

Twenty-five years ago, MANNA Worldwide began with a conviction that vulnerable children deserved more than survival. They deserved to thrive. Not just rescue from hunger or illness or a life without opportunity, but from the kind of poverty that reaches into the soul and tells a child they have no future worth hoping for, stripping away their ability to even be a child.

That conviction has not changed. And because of people like you, it has been carried into communities around the world for a quarter of a century.

This anniversary is not really about MANNA. It is about what happens when ordinary people decide their generosity, talents, and obedience can turn into something extraordinary. It is about local pastors and community leaders who refused to give up on their neighbors. It is about children who were seen, known by name, and given a chance. And it is about a God who keeps showing up in the middle of hard places and doing things that should not be possible.

Twenty-Five Years In, Here Is What We Have Learned

Lasting Change Takes Time

Quick bandaids can meet an immediate need, but transformation requires presence, consistency, and relationships built over years. From day one, MANNA has been committed to that kind of long work. The kind that does not make for flashy headlines, but changes the actual direction of a child's life.

Local Leaders Are the Key

MANNA has never parachuted into communities with outside answers. The people already living in these places, already loving their neighbors, already faithful in hard circumstances, are the ones who make the work possible. MANNA comes alongside them. That partnership is everything.

Physical and Spiritual Poverty Are Both Real

A child who is fed but has no hope is still in poverty. A child who hears the gospel but has no food on the table is still suffering. MANNA has always believed that caring for the whole person is not optional. It is the whole point.

The Next Twenty-Five Years Start With You

As we mark twenty-five years, we are not slowing down. If anything, we are more focused. More committed to the children who are still waiting. More grateful for the partners who have made this work possible. And more convinced than ever that what began a quarter century ago was always meant to grow.

Thank you for being part of the story. The rescue that has happened over these twenty-five years carries your name on it, too.

Here is to what comes next.
