BILL AND KATHY KEPLER
Missionaries to Honduras
January 3, 2005

First I must ask you for your forgiveness for the tardiness in getting this prayer letter to all of you. We do greatly appreciate each and every one of you and prayers. We could not continue here without your prayers and continual support of this ministry. Again thank you.

In the past year we have strived to fulfill Gods word as it is written in Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." In 2004, we have seen 21 professions of faith and have baptized 16. We have had a request for discipleship materials for 21 more students. We give the Lord the praise and glory. Amen.

In Matthew 25:35 we read "For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me to drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:" In 2004, we have been blessed by MANNA Worldwide in feeding a small portion of children here in the area. They have also raised the funds to build the center in Las Marias, and helped in getting our well dug. National statistics state that 50% of children in Honduras are malnourished, but if the truth be known it is a great deal more than 50%. We have prayed that God would close the pool hall and disco next to our house and He has answered those prayers. The owners have agreed to rent us our house, printing area, pool hall and disco for $600.00 a month. They are in the process of repairing these facilities. The Lord willing we will open another center here in town and another church this year. Since the school year has ended we have not had a center in Bella Vista, but when we open here those children can continue with us here in town.

Kathy still has the habit of taking in children. We had little Pamela, a 19 month old girl, with us for about four months. When she arrived she was full of worms, parasites and could not walk or talk. Her mother has since decided to come and take her to San Pedro Sula. When little Pamela left she was walking, almost running, and talking her head off. Pray for her and the children of Honduras

We have also had the privilege of distributing spiritual food as well in 2004. Thanks to all of your giving we have been blessed to print 500 books of John/Romans, 1,190 discipleship books on marriage/divorce, 200 new believers study books, distribute 2000 Born of God books, 1000 plus tracts and 79 Bibles. God is good, Amen!

God has blessed our little church in Las Marias with water. Yes, we have a completed well with a 660-gallon storage tank. With this water we now have a bathroom (with flush toilet). This well will also supply water to the new center, a local school and part of the community. As we share this blessing with the community we pray that it would touch those cold hearts here.

In 2004, our son Billy was married to a very sweet young lady, Lesley, who is going to give birth to our first grandson this year. In November, our daughter Sherry gave birth to our third granddaughter. They have got to be the prettiest girls in the world. Also in 2004, Kathy and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. God has and is good to us. All in all we have had a great year in 2004. We have seen some come and some go in our little church. We have seen some grow and some fall, but we are thankful that God is in control. Amen.

I want to share one more story as we close out 2004. Within a few days after Christmas, Kathy and I made a trip to the airbase for our mail and our monthly run to Tegucigalpa, but upon our arrival home we had a visitor. We were informed that an 11 year old girl had been killed. Her name is Carolina, she and her younger brother, Cristian (5 years old) and others would come by our house for food, money, and ask for clothes. It was on one of those visits that Kathy was allowed to share the gospel with her and the Lord saved her. Carolina's 22 year old mother would send her and her little brother to town to sale different things. It was reported that she had been missing for a few days and was suddenly found close to their home. She had been raped and murdered. The autopsy revealed that she had been raped by five different people and was chocked to death. Carolina was a precious child! The mother has been caught telling lies about those involved and the authorities have taken her live-in man, his cousins and her in for questioning. It is reported that everyone that was involved in this horrendous event were family. Most of the women and young girls will not report a rape here because of the death threats against them and their families. Please pray that the Lord will soften hearts here that they may receive the Bread of Life.

Please pray for us to have the strength, discernment and power to continue each and every day. This new year will bring new opportunities and challenges for all of us that are in the battle, put on your armor and continue with the fight.

Again, thank you so much for all that you do.

Luke 5:5 "at thy word",
Bill and Kathy
